2023: Tinubu seeks support of APC Senate Caucus

The National leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Wednesday, sought the support of APC Senate Caucus on his presidential aspiration.

Tinubu at a meeting with the APC senators unveiled his plan to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

Specifically, he explained that his ambition to succeed Buhari was not for power.

“I seek your partnership in my quest to become the Presidential Candidate of our party and to win the general elections in February 2023 for all APC candidates.

“This ambition is not about gaining power. It is about securing good government for the nation.

“This is not about gaining power. It is about securing good government for the nation.

Responding, the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, wished the presidential aspirant success in his quest for the party’s ticket.

He said “Your Excellency, once again, all of us wish you well, wish you the best of luck, wish you success in this and in the affair of fighting for APC, to continue to be the ruling party in Nigeria”.

According to Lawan, 2023 will be defined between 2015 and now, saying the APC will have to remain united.
