3-Day Fidau prayer held for late Nephew of Senator Wamakko

The three-day Fiddau prayer for the late Nephew of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Dr Bello Magatakarda Wamakko, was held on Tuesday, at Wamakko town, headquarters of Wamakko Local Government, Sokoto State.

A statement on Tuesday by Bashir Rabe Mani, Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity, to Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko and made available to SINL Nigeria Online said the prayer session  led by Sheikh Bashir Gidan Kanawa, was attended by many dignitaries, Islamic Clerics, traditional rulers, retired and serving top civil servants, as well as thousands of sympathizers from within and outside the state.

Prominent among them were Senators Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko and Ibrahim Gobir, other Members of the National Assemblies, Executive Secretary, Police Trust Fund, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, Ambassador Sahabi Isa Gada, Ambassador Faruku Malami Yabo, State APC Chairman, Alhaji Isa Sadiq Achida and other executives of the party.

Others were the Representatives of the Wakilin Gwandu, Tambarin  Gwandu, Alhaji Sani Dododo, Zannan Gwandu, Alhaji Sani Zauro Hukuma, as well as the Chairman of the Kebbi State Local Governments Service Commission, Alhaji Abubakar Nayaya, among others.

Prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased, as well as for the Almighty Allah to give the family the formidable fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and for peace and unity of Nigeria were offered by the myriad of Islamic Clerics.

Speaking shortly before the prayer session,. Wamakko commended all those who firmly stood by him and the family members of the late Dr Bello Magatakarda Wamakko, during their bereavement.

Wamakko eulogized the deceased and described him as a man of many people, who had positively touched the lives of  many people.

Wamakko also described death as the inevitable end of all mortals, at the God appointed time.

“I am thanking all those who came personally and condole, sent text messages or emissaries and I am praying the Almighty Allah to reward all of you abundantly.

“The death of Dr Bello Magatakarda Wamakko was indeed a great loss, but, we are highly consoled by the multitudes of condolences from within and outside Nigeria,” Wamakko, added.
