A.A Rano Opens City Gate Super Mega Station, offers free fuel to Abuja Residents

The management of A.A Rano Nigeria limited, one of the fastest growing petroleum company in Nigeria on Thursday offered free fuel to residents of Abuja.


Vehicle owners were full of joy as they took turn to fill their tank at the over 50 service points of the state of the art edifice.

The gesture followed the opening of the company’s magnificent Abuja City Gate Super Mega filling station along the Airport road, near the National Military Cemetery in Abuja.


Addressing newsmen at the event, the Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Akinyele Seweje said the company has commissioned 125 filling stations in the country.


He added that the company, which commissioned its first filling station in 2002 has also established and commissioned 30 gas plants across Nigeria.


Seweje explained that furtherance to its development, A.A Rano has set in motion plans to establish another 30 gas plants in Nigeria.

“We have 30 gas plants also coming up” he said.


He observed that the company is driven by technology, adding that “we are setting standard in Nigeria”.


“We call it Super Mega station because having a filling station that is able to service 60 vehicles at a time, that is no longer a regular station.

“I have seen mega stations that can only service 20 vehicles at a time, so conveniently this is three times a mega station, so indeed this is super super mega station that we are witnessing its commissioning today”.


Historically, the Company Chief Operating Officer said A.A Rano Nigeria Limited commissioned its first filling station in 2002 in Kano.

He said “In 2019, the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) found the company worthy and converted the status of a major marketer on A A Rano in 2019, and between 2002 to date, we are commissioning our 125th station, also we have commissioned 30 gas plants located all across Nigeria, not only in the north”.


He however pledged that the station will offer unique, efficient and effective services to the public.
