APC Summons Emergency NEC Meeting Tuesday

Following crisis in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the National Executive Council (NEC) of the party has summoned an emergency meeting which is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, March 17.

It would be recalled that APC has been in the news recently following a court judgement that suspended its National Chairman Comrade Adams Oshiomhole pending the time the application seeking his removal will be heard.

In a statement on Friday, March 6, the Deputy National Secretary of the party Chief Victor Giadom, summoned the emergency meeting of the working committee in line with article 25 (B) (II) of the APC constitution.

The meeting will hold by 3 pm at the party’s secretariat in Abuja and all members were enjoyed to be at the meeting before the arrival of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Earlier, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) approved the nomination of Waziri Bulama as the party’s acting national secretary.

The NWC also approved the nominations of Abiola Ajimobi as the Deputy National Chairman (South) and Paul Chukwuma as the National Auditor.

The announcement was contained in a statement released by the party’s national publicity secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, on Wednesday night, March 4.
