Ex-Gov Kalu to Establish Food, Mineral Processing Companies in Zamfara

(SINL NIGERIA) A former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has inaugurated the newly reconstructed Zamfara State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.

Senator Kalu who represents Abia North at the 10th Senate also commissioned renovated structures at the Zamfara State College of Arts and Sciences, (ZACAS), Gusau.

At the inauguration ceremony, the former governor commended Governor Dauda Lawal for the visible transformation taking place under his leadership. 

He described the efforts as a major step towards rebuilding and repositioning the state for sustainable development.

He urged Governor Lawal to foster a collaborative relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in order to attract greater Federal Government support for the state’s development. 

Meanwhile, the lawmaker  announced plans to establish two major companies in Zamfara; a food processing plant aimed at exports to India and China, and a mineral processing firm to harness local resources such as gold and lithium.
