(SINL NIGERIA) The federal government has said two top terrorists leaders have been arrested.
Specifically, the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu announced that the two leaders are of the Ansaru terrorist group.
Ribadu, made the disclosure at a press briefing in Abuja.
He identified those arrested as Abu Baraa, the Amir, and Mahmuda, the deputy Amir.
They were said to be responsible for masterminding several terrorist operations in Nigeria as well as high-profile kidnappings.
The briefing had in attendance the Chief of Defence Staff, the Chief of Army Staff, the Inspector General of Police, and the Minister of Information and National Orientation among others.
