How Bandits kidnapped Zamfara College Provost

Gunmen Suspected to be armed bandits have abducted Habibu Mainasara,  Provost of College of Arts and Animal Science Bakura, Zamfara State in the early hours of Sunday.


This comes as President Muhammad Buhari ordered military to crush bandits in the State.


According to family source, the armed bandits stormed the resident of the provost around 2:00am today (Sunday) and abducted him at his official residence, located at Government Science Secondary School, Bakura. 

The source revealed that he was kidnapped early morning, saying nobody knows his whereabouts, adding that his abductors have not open GSM lines for communication.


Zamfara State police command has confirmed the abduction of the provost.


Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations officer, PPRO SP Mohammed Shehu said that the provost was kidnapped at his residence, located at Sabon gari in Bakura local government area in Zamfara State.

 
According to police spokesman, the hoodlums stormed the provost house around 1.30am on sunday and whisked him to an unknown destination. 

The police, however assured that a team of security personnel have been deployed to ensure that the provost is rescue safely.
