(SINL NIGERIA) Ahead of the July 20th election of the Igbo Community resident in Zamfara state, a leading candidate and Business Tycoon, Chief Maduka Ezemeka (Macmiller) has joined the race for the office of President of Igbo Community Association (ICA).
Speaking at a press conference in Gusau, the Zamfara state capital recently where he rolled out his cardinal programmes, Chief Ezemeka said his passion for the Igbo in the state propelled him to seek for the highest office of ICA.

He stated that “I have consistently demonstrated effective service within the Igbo community, my long-standing involvement in community affairs gives me the experience needed to manage the affairs of the ICA”.
Additionally, Ezemeka expressed optimism that with a team of hardworking executive that will emerge on 20th July, the story of ICA in Zamfara state will change positively.
“I promise to champion unity, progress and establish peaceful coexistence with our host community in all the local government areas in Zamfara state where the Igbos are domicile”.
He said as Onurube Nwanne 1, “I am known for fostering unity among the Igbos regardless of village, state or background.
Specifically he added “I believe in “Onye aghana nwanne ya” meaning that (no one should be left behind), I am committed to building a stronger, more united Igbo family in Zamfara”.
When prodded for his programme for the ICA, Ezemeka said “I am Committed to Development and Empowerment, I am passionate about youth and women empowerment, skill acquisition and business support programs.
“My vision includes creating opportunities for Igbo traders, professionals and artisans to thrive and grow”.
He highlighted Cultural Pride and Heritage Promotion, “I am a cultural ambassador who promotes Igbo values, language, and traditions”.

He added “under my leadership, the Igbo community will enjoy vibrant cultural celebrations, heritage education and greater visibility within Zamfara”.
“I will build bridges with the host community. Over years, I have built respectful relationships with key leaders in Zamfara State, I will build on that for peaceful coexistence”.
The Business Tycoon also promised Transparency, Accountability and Integrity.
“I stand for accountability in community finances and inclusive decision-making”.
Chief Ezemeka concluded that “I am ready to Serve, not to Rule.
I am not seeking power for status, but service, I believe in leadership with humility and heart.
“I will listen, consult, and put the community’s interest first”.
