Jigawa Governor-elect promises to run inclusive, pragmatic govt

The Governor-elect of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, has promised to prioritize justice, fairness, and pragmatic leadership in his administration.

In his acceptance speech, Malam Namadi expressed his gratitude to the people of Jigawa State for reposing their trust in him by electing him as their governor.

The governor elect made this known on Tuesday in a statement by his Media aide, Malam Ahmed Haruna.


 “I want to express my sincere gratitude to everybody who cast  his/her ballot in this election. Your votes have demonstrated that you equally share our vision for a greater Jigawa State, and I promise to work assiduously to make that vision a reality.

 “As we celebrate this victory, let us remember that this is not just a victory for me or our party, but a victory for all the people of the state. Our victory is a testament to the effectiveness of our democracy, strength and resilience of our people”, he added.

Mallam Namadi emphasized that his commitment is to build a strong economy, create jobs, expand access to quality education and enhance healthcare services. 

Mallam Namadi pledged to prioritize the welfare of vulnerable and marginalized people, ensuring that no one is left behind. 

He also promised to work with traditional rulers, religious leaders, civil society groups, and other government officials to deliver on his promises to the people of the state.

“We will work to promote peace and unity in our state, and create an enabling environment for businesses to prosper”, he emphasised.
