(SINL NIGERIA) The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has mourned the passing of Oba Sikiru Adetona, the Awujale of Ijebuland, following the recent demise of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
NAHCON, in a statement signed by its chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman on behalf of the Board Members, Management, and Staff, extended heartfelt condolences to the people of Ijebuland, particularly the monarch’s family and community.
The statement noted that Oba Adetona, who reigned for 65 years, will be remembered for his dedication to his subjects and significant contributions to the community.
“As Chairman of the Ogun State Muslim Community, he worked tirelessly for the well-being of his people. The Commission expresses sincere condolences to the entire nation on this great loss”.
