Natforce DG, Okereke petitions IGP over alleged kidnap of his children, denies recruitment process

The Director General National Taskforce on the Prohibition of illegal Importation/Smuggling of Arms, Ammunition, Light Weapons, Chemical Weapons and Pipeline Vandalism (Natforce ), Chief Osita Okereke has urged the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu to investigate alleged Kidnap of his three children by his estranged wife Lola Ndubuisi.

In a petition to the Inspector General of Police, sighted by SINL Nigeria, dated September 22nd and signed by his counsel, Aminu Abdullahi & Co, Okereke urged the police to also investigate a sister to this estranged wife, Onyinye Ndubuisi, house assistant, Nkechi Uche and the Divisional Police Officer of Durumi police station.

The petition which read in part said “The petitioner suspects the DPO Durumi Police station and others named in the this petition are the persons behind the abduction of the children of the petitioner”.

According to the petition, Okereke and his wife Lola Ndubuisi had some marital dilemma and troubles that reportedly led to the petitioner being allegedly poisoned by his wife.

Consequently, the petition added that following the incident, Okereke has been hospitalise and undergone medical surgeries and treatment in order to resuscitate him back to a healthy and revived physical state.

The petition further alleged that the trio and the DPO of Durumi police station in the middle of the night of September 19th allegedly kidnapped the three children with the help of the DPO.

“It was reported to the petitioner that the men from Durumi police station on the instruction of the DPO, Durumi came over to the gate seeking for access into the premises of the petitioner, however, the household personnels resisted and refused the officers entrance into the house of the petitioner.

“Not knowing that Nkechi Uche had ushered out the children through the back and over the fence and handed over the children to persons outside the fence.

“In the morning the petitioner hurriedly called the DPO Durumi police station in order for action to be taken, however the DPO decided to inform the petitioner after several attempted calls that he is unavoidably absent, as a result of religious activities and he will attend to the complain by 4.30pm on that day”.

Meanwhile, Okereke has denied reports that Natforce has commenced recruitment process, saying it is the handiwork of mischief makers.

“We don’t operate online, all our activities is manual, people should ignore those peddling the falsehood of Natforce job recruitment, it is not true” Okereke said.
