NSCDC Boosts Security in Katsina Ahead of Buhari’s Burial

The Katsina State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, has deployed 2,807 personnel ahead of the burial of  late former President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure watertight security across the State.

This was disclosed by the State Commandant of the Corps, Commandant of Corps Aminu Datti during a strategic meeting with senior officers at the State Command in Katsina on Monday, July 14, 2025. 

Recall, Late former President Buhari died on Sunday July 13th, 2025 at the aged 82, in a London hospital following a prolonged illness. 

The Commandant noted that the directive for comprehensive security coverage came from the NSCDC Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi  who expressed deep grief over the loss of the elder statesman and ordered enhanced surveillance and protection before, during, and after the burial.

“This is a moment of national mourning. We must give the late president a peaceful and dignified final farewell. All operatives must remain professional, vigilant, and work in synergy with sister agencies,” Audi added.
