(SINL NIGERIA) Following the nomination of Prof. Joash Ojo Amupitan SAN, as Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Nigerian Senate will on Thursday screen the nominee in line with constitutional provision.
The office of the Secretary Research and Information, National Assembly, in a statement on Wednesday signed by Bullah Audu Bi-Allah, Director Information stated that the exercise is scheduled to hold at the Senate Chamber, National Assembly Complex.
The terse statement however urged members of the Senate Press Corps to provide media coverage and support to ensure adequate dissemination of information to the public.
“Similarly, Television stations are expected to extend the usual courtesies of providing live coverage of the event.
“The Directorate appreciates your continued cooperation and professional coverage of National Assembly activities”.
