Sallah: Zamfara Governor’s wife donates cash, clothing materials to 1,800 Women

The wife of Zamfara State Governor, Hajiya Aisha Bello Matawalle has distributed clothing materials, cash to 1,800 Women as Sallah gift.

Speaking on Tuesday during the distribution excercise at the Government House in Gusau, the Zamfara first lady said the gesture was to put smiles on the face of less privileged Women in the State. 

She explained that a total of 1,800 Women in three local government areas of the State were selected to benefit from the gesture.

“Women across the three local government areas of Gusau, Bungudu and Tsafe were selected to benefit from the gesture”.

According to her, Gusau local government has one thousand two hundred (1200) beneficiaries while Bungudu and Tsafe local government areas has three hundred beneficiaries each.

“The gesture would go alone way to put smiles on the face of less privileged Women during the Sallah”. 

Earlier in their separate remarks, Hajiya Fatima Musa SA to the first lady, PDP woman leader Hajiya Maryam Waziri and Hajiya Aisha Maradun called on beneficiaries to always give their maximum support and cooperation towards achieving state government policies and programs.

Hajiya Musa disclosed that office of the first lady has been up and doing since their assumption in office to better the lives of women in the State. 

She maintained that for twenty months now, Women in the State have being enjoying twenty thousand naira empowerment grant every month.
