Senator Sani Musa, Niger East (APC)  has said he will vie for the office of Senate President or Deputy Senate if  either of the office is zone to the North Central by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The lawmaker said he deferred his formal declaration in line with party supremacy, saying the party chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu has advised those with intention to wait till when the party conclude zoning of principal officers of the National Assembly.

Senator Musa spoke on Tuesday when the National Assembly New Media Forum, a forum of online journalists felicitated with him on his victory at the polls held on 25th February.

He pledged to do more especially for his constituency in the 10th Senate. “I will do more for Nigeria” Musa said.

“I have not made my formal declaration yet, why I didn’t do that is that I am a party loyalist, a party man, I believe in the supremacy of the party National Working Committee (NWC) under the chairmanship of his Excellency Distinguish Senator Abdullahi Adamu, he has advised all those with intention and ambition to wait till when the party zoned various offices.

“Be that as it may, it does not foreclose us from making our intent known and I actually intend to go for the office of the senate president if it is zoned to North Central and if it is not zoned to the north Central and it happens that the office of the Deputy senate president is zoned to the north Central then that’s the office I will go for”.
