Senator Bilbis Speaks on Tsafe University, says it ‘ll take off soon

The Senator representing Zamfara Central Senatorial district, Alhaji Ikra Aliyu Bilbis has assured that the federal university of Science and Health Technology in Tsafe will take off in no distant time.

According to him, they are only waiting for president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to approve the appointments of principal officers of the university through the Federal ministry of Education.

Senator Bilbis disclosed this while fielding questions from newsmen in Gusau, the State capital, saying that all arrangements have been completed for the university to take off as soon as possible.

Continuing, the Senator explained  that he started nursing the State’s College of Science and Health Technology that now  turned to a university when he was the chairman of Tsafe local government area of the State by providing some facilities in 1997.

He further stated that the State governor, Dauda Lawal has already handed over the premises of the institution to the federal government, signifying that it is now federal government’s property.

Speaking on the issue of insecurity, Senator Bilbis said that no government or serious individual can treat the issue of security of lives and properties of the people with a mere wave of hand, stressing that he has been working closely with the governor on security issue.
