(SINL NIGERIA) The Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba has lamented persistent insecurity in the State.
The Commissioner of Police spoke at the palace of Emir of Maradun, Alhaji Garba Muhammad Tambari.
This was contained in a statement by the spokesman of the state police Command, DSP Yazid Abubakar and made available to newsmen in Gusau, the State capital.
According to the statement, the visit, which formed part of the Commissioner’s engagement with critical stakeholders, was aimed at fostering strong collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and traditional institutions, in the collective effort to enhance peace, security, and community policing in the state.
Maikaba expressed deep respect for the Emir and acknowledged the pivotal role traditional rulers play in maintaining societal harmony and intelligence gathering.
He assured the command’s commitment to working hand-in-hand with community leaders to address emerging security challenges in the state.
In his response, the Emir of Maradun, Alhaji Garba Muhammad Tambari warmly welcomed the Commissioner and commended the efforts of the Police Command in combating crime and maintaining law and order.
He however assured Maikaba of the full support and cooperation of the Maradun Emirate in promoting peace and security.
