2023: Amaechi Northern Nigeria Network to hold mega rally in Kano

A group, Amaechi Northern Nigeria Network has expressed readiness to hold  mega rally in Kano on May 14th, in support of presidential ambition of Chief Rotimi Chibike Amaechi (Dan Amanar Daura).

The mega rally is tagged: 10 million man March for Amaechi.

Amaechi, is one of the presidential aspirants eyeing the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 presidential election.

Rising from its first National Executive meeting Monday in Abuja, the group observed the limited time before the APC primaries and settled for the mega rally to boost the publicity of Amaechi’s aspiration.

National Convener of the Amaechi Northern Nigeria Network, Barrister Usman Garba said a meeting of state coordinators of the network with the General Secretary, Assistant General Secretary, Publicity Secretary and his assistant would be held via zoom on 27th April 2022 for proper sensitization and enlightenment.


“May 14th 2023 was agreed as the date for our first rally to be held in Kano. 

“A mega rally should be held to meet up with the limited time available to us before the primaries”.

Garba said the group resolved that “all campaign should be issue based and free from name calling of other aspirants”.

He also gave update on the list from the states, saying “out of the 20 states including FCT, we have 19 states with complete executives from the state executive down to ward executive”.


Garba gave an in-depth analysis of the reason, aspirations and aim of the movement and the reason why Rt Hon. Rotimi Chibike Amaechi is the right aspirant.

“Our principal Ameachi is northern Nigeria friendly, a case evident in the two major MDA’s under his supervision, Nigeria Port authority (NPA) and NIMASA respectively and headed by northerners”. 

The transport University in Daura and his personal contribution towards the success of President Muhammadu Buhari, the dry port projects both in Kaduna and Kano, the rail line projects Port Harcourt, Kano, Maiduguri and Maradi Niger Republic among other achievements were also highlighted by the convener.

He added that part of the programme of the group is the formation and formalization of national executives, state executives, local government executives, wards and polling unit executives.

Similarly, the National leader of the APC Youth Vanguard, Hon. Haruna who was also present at the meeting, promised to align the agenda of the Amaechi Network with national agenda.
