2023: Atiku Abubakar promises to open borders, $10 bn dollar for women empowerment

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has promised to reopen Nigeria borders from all angles to make life easy for the citizens.

Atiku stated this on Wednesday at the Aminu Kano Triangle Dutse, where he received thousands of his supporters during the PDP campaign in the state.

He said he will set aside $10 billion dollar to further his empowerment  support for women in Nigeria.

“I will support farming and business the main activities of the people of Jigawa state. Therefore I will open the borders to enable trade to be conducted across Nigeria and Niger Republic”, Atiku added. 

He said Jigawa state has good arable land for farming, saying about 350,000 hectres of land is laying fallow without being used.

Atiku Abubakar said on his  personal capacity he has empowered over 34,000 women across the country which has uplifted their standards of living.

“I will handle and resolve once and for all, the incessant problem of the Nigerian Universities to the point that they will never go on strike again”, Atiku said.
