A former Governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Sule Lamido at the weekend played host to the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa in Bamaina his home town.
SINL Nigeria Online gathered that stalwarts of the PDP, especially from northwest attended the wedding Fatiha of Surayya Sule Lamido.
Surayya, the daughter of the former Governor Lamido married to Yazid Danfulani, the commissioner of Commerce and Industries in Zamfara State.
The PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, stood as the bride’s father while the Deputy Governor of Zamfara, Mr Hassan Nasiha served as the groom’s father.
The Imam, Mr Suleiman announced the payment of N100,000 as the bride price, after which the trustees of the groom and bride announced their consents to the union.
The groom, Mr Danfulani, is the son of the popular Zamfara business tycoon, Shehu Danfulani, and the owner of Yazid Hotels Limited in Kaduna.
Several dignitaries including former, sitting Governors, party chieftains and many other well wishers were in Bamaina for the wedding.
