A member of House of Representatives, Honourable Abdulmalik Zubairu has denied insinuation making round in the state that he his eyeing the Zamfara government house in 2027.
The federal lawmaker, who represents Bungudu, Maru federal constituency said he has no plan to contest for the governorship ticket under the All Progressive Congress, (APC).
Zubairu spoke on Saturday while while fielding questions from newsmen in Bungudu Zamfara state.
According to him, he never discussed the issue with anybody, stressing that only God Almighty knows the future.
“I never discussed any political ambition with anyone as regard to 2027 election, but I submit everything to God to choose the best for me”, he said.
He explained that those who are making the speculation are doing so based on their well wishes for him.
“I heard about this speculation making round mostly in social media, but I depend on God Almighty, to choose the best for me in future”.
Hon. Zubairu stated that his main concern now is how to improve the living conditions of his constituents, in the areas of education, security, healthcare delivery services, provision of portable drinking water, youths empowerment, rural electrification and other vital social services.
“I am now focussing on how to provide basic necessities of life for my constituents in the areas I have mentioned and I will sustain it up to the end of my tenure as member representing them at the federal house of representatives”, he added.
