Senate suspends public hearing, closes gallery over Coronavirus

In a bid to tame the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic to the National Assembly Complex, the Nigerian Senate on Thursday suspended Public Hearings, access to its gallery and excursion by schools and colleges.

Senate President Ahmad Lawan announced the development at plenary after a one-hour closed session.

Specifically, Lawan said all forms of public hearing and excursion of students to the Senate have been suspended till further notice.
