Zamfara receives 55,920 dozes of covid- 19 Vaccines

The Zamfara state government has received 55,920 dozes of covid 19 vaccines from the federal government to vaccinate people in the state.

Speaking when he received the vaccines Thursday in Gusau, the commissioner of Health, Alhaji Yahaya Mohammed kanoma disclosed that a total of 27,960 people would receive the vaccine injections in the state.

Kanoma further revealed that the first persons to receive the coronavirus vaccines would be the state front liners that includes health workers, traditional rulers, government officials among others.

“Presently we received a total of 55,960 dozes of covid 19 vaccines which we intend to start given to people that includes pump attendants, health workers, at the motor parks, markets and some front liners in the state”.

According to the commissioner, the vaccine injection would be administer to persons of 18 years old and above.

“The covid 19 vaccines were well received with all equipments needed that includes safety kits, syringes, cotton and other materials” he added.
