Abductors of Kaduna Varsity Students Demand 800million for 23 Students

The kidnappers of about 23 students of Green Field University Kaduna have contacted families of the victims, demanding N800 million before they will be realese.

It would be recalled that gunmen on Tuesday stommed the school shooting sporadically.


A security guard in the school have been confirmed dead while about 23 students were abducted.


The kidnappers have contacted some family members, asking for the payment of N800 million even as negotiations are still ongoing.

A cousin to one of the kidnapped students, Georgina Stephen told our correspondent that the abductors are asking her family to pay a whopping sum of N8 million ransom before they can secure the release of their sister from captivity.


It was reported that the bandits launched the attacked on the Private University on Tuesday at about 9pm.


Stephen said the abducted 23 students are made up of 14 girls, 6 boys and the staff of the university.


According to her, the kidnnapers have been beating the abducted students, insisting if the ransom is not paid, they will kill all of them.

Kaduna State Government had earlier confirmed the killing of one of the Staff during the invasion by the kidnappers.
