Kaduna Assembly Declares lawmaker Seat Vacant for Absenteeism

The Kaduna House of Assembly has declared the seat of Hon. Aminu Abdullahi Shagali, member Representing Sabon Gari Constituency vacant for Absenteeism from parliamentary activities for more than a year without reason.


The House arrived at the decision after plenary on Tuesday presided over by Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Dr. Isaac Auta Zankai.

Consequently, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been directed to announce new date to fill the vacant seat.

The House also extended the suspension of 3 members Yusuf Liman, (Makera), Isah Hazo (Basawa), Nuhu Goro Shadalafiya (Kagarko) and another member Hon Salisu Isa, member representing Magajin Gari for another 12 months.
