Security beef up as Service chiefs arrive National Assembly

Security at the National Assembly on Thursday has been beefed up, following invitation of service chiefs by the Nigerian Senate.

The President of the senate, Ahmad Lawan before the Senate went into closed door session with the service chiefs, said the invitation was to enable the Parliament to hear from them, so that it will know how to assist them to tackle Insecurity in the country.


Lawan added that it is when the country is at peace that it can attract foreign investment.
The Thursday meeting followed endless insecurity across the nation that has been considered a great threat to the fabrics of the nation.

Recall, Lawan adjourned the meeting till Thursday (today) following a meeting of the service chiefs with President Muhammadu Buhari.
