Ahead the National convention of All Progressive Congress (APC), the Zamfara State Igbo wing of the party has endorsed former Governor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar for the position of national Chairman of APC.
Speaking with newsmen on Thursday in Gusau, the State chairman of APC Igbo wing, Chief Collins Ofodile said Igbo supporters of APC in Zamfara have unanimously resolved to throw their weight behind the former Chairman of Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.
According to Ofodile, former Governor Yari has all its take to become the party national chairman, “he is a very principled politician with a mission and visions “.
He explained that Yari’s leadership qualities has reportedly earned him to become the first Governor in the northwest that became Chairman Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF).
