BREAKING: COVID-19, Senate shuts down for two weeks

Following the Coronavirus pandemic which is spreading across the globe, the Nigerian Senate on Tuesday adjourned till 7th April, 2020.


Rising from executive session which lasted for 45 minutes, Senate President Ahmad Lawan disclosed that what transpired at the closed session was to adjourn because of the pandemic.

He said: “The Senate resolved to adjourned sitting for two weeks from today, due to the pandemic of the Coronavirus ravaging the entire world.

“Therefore the Senate will resume on the 7th April, however the Senate will be on hand in case of emergency on any National issue that require attention”.
