Gbajabiamila eulogises Wase at 57

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila, has eulogised his deputy, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, on his 57th birthday.


At 57, Gbajabiamila said, Wase comes across as a fine gentleman and a trustworthy ally, whom he finds very dependable and helpful for almost two years that they have been working together.

The Speaker, in a statement by Lanre Lasisi, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicitysaid the people of Wase Federal Constituency of Plateau State are lucky to have the Deputy Speaker as their representative in the Green Chamber, describing his deputy as a man full of love for his constituents. 

“Even before becoming the Deputy Speaker, Wase became a rallying point who devoted his time to assisting people irrespective of where they came from”, the Speaker added.


While paying glowing tributes to Wase, Speaker Gbajabiamila said he believes there is much to be achieved under their leadership in the 9th House of Representatives.


He said the invaluable contributions of the Deputy Speaker to the development of democracy, especially the Legislature, are well noted.

He prayed that the Almighty Allah will continue to guide and protect the Deputy Speaker so that he would carry on with the good works he has been doing.
