Badaru receives second jab of Covid-19 Vaccine

The Jigawa state governor Alhaji Muhammed Badaru Abubakar on Thursday received second jab of the Astrazeneca vaccine.

The governor was vaccinated at the government house chamber.

Earlier, the state government received the delivery of about seventy thousand doses of the oxford Astrazeneca covid 19 vaccine.

The executive Secretary, Jigawa state Primary Healthcare Board, Dr. Kabiru Ibrahim stated this at the flag-off of the second jab of the vaccination exercise held at Kudai Primary Health care centre Dutse.

He said the essence of the second phase is to induce the front line workers that took the first jab to take the second jab for them to be fully protected from the covid-19.


According to him the national guide line has prescribed that the two doses must be separated from each other maximum of six weeks and not exceeding twelve weeks.
