Husband on the run as Katsina police arrest bandit’s wife with N2.4m

The wife of a bandit, Aisha Nura is in the Katsina police net with N2.4m being proceeds of arms supplies to bandits.

She was arrested on July 25 while attempting to board a commercial motorcycle from Batsari to Nahuta village.

The spokesman for Katsina police command, SP Gambo Isah, confirmed the arrest on Friday.

According to him, Nura confessed under investigation, that she was sent by her husband, one Nura Murnai, to collect the money from bandits in Kaduna forest.

The police spokesman said the husband, who is on the run, was also a bandit who belonged to the camp of another bandits leader, one Abu Radda.

Nura, in a short interview with newsmen at the Katsina police command headquarters, confessed that the money was found on her.

“It is true the money was found on me and my husband sent me to pick it from Kaduna.” she said in Hausa.
