Armed bandits have invaded Magarya town in Zamfara State and kidnapped father of the Speaker of the state House of Assembly and 5 others.
Indeed, the speaker’s father, Muazu Magarya and his stepmother were kidnapped alongside four other persons, Wednesday evening at Magarya town.
A source told SINL Nigeria Online that before the armed bandits arrived Magarya town they attacked Kaiwa Lamba, Jinkirawa, and Sabon Fegi villages along Kaura Namoda- Shinkafi axis.
“They invaded Magarya town around 4:00pm when people were observing Asr prayers and conducted their operations, they kidnapped father of the Speaker Nasiru Magarya, his stepmother and four others”.
When contacted Zamfara Police Public Relations officer, SP Shehu Muhammd confirmed the incident, saying father of the speaker State House of Assembly and five others were abducted at Magarya town in the State.
The police spokesman assured that the state commissioner of police, CP Hussaini Rabiu has deployed adequate police tactical squad with a view to rescue the abducted victims.
