Gov. Matawalle swears in new SSG, Head of Service, 18 commissioners

The Zamfara State Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle on Monday sworn in Secretary to State government (SSG) Alhaji Kabiru  Balarabe.

Also sworn in was Alhaji kabiru Gayari as the new Head of service and 18 new Commissioners. 

Similarly, the Governor sworn in 11 new Special Advisers and some permanent secretaries.


The swearing-in ceremony held at the Government House Gusau, Matawalle urged the new appointees to distance themselves from aiding and abating armed banditry activities in the State.

The Governor enjoined the new appointees to brace up for what he described as “the new beginning” of an era of consolidating the gains recorded in the last two years of the administration.

He extolled the virtues of his administration new choice saying, “a cursory overview of the antecedents of the members of the new team is enough to convince anyone that a new march to make Zamfara State great has begun”.


He warned that his administration will not condone laxity or complacency at this critical hour of the state’s journey, out of the woods, saying bandits are fast being routed while a new beginning that will usher in peace and conducive atmosphere for development is assured.
