FRSC Partner Media to reduce road crash in Zone 4 -Gora

The Zone 4 FRSC Zonal Commander in charge of Plateau, Nasarawa and Benue State, Wobin Gora has said the commission would increase public enlightenment so as to reduce the rate of road crash.

Gora disclosed this on Tuesday during a press conference held at the NUJ press centre Jos.


“The FRSC is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring that our roads are safe from any form of road crash.


“You can agree with me that crashes have reduced and my charge is to ensure zero level of crashes.


“As the festive period is fast approaching, I can assure you that road movement will be well controlled and road crash will be reduced.

“Road safety is everybody’s business, so I urge you all journalists to help in disseminating programmes that will enlighten the public on road crash.


“Crashes happens out of our carelessness and ignorance, therefore, use of accessories like phones should be stopped while driving so as to reduce the risk of road crash”.


The Chairman NUJ Plateau State Chapter, Paul Jatau assured the FRSC zonal Commander of their maximum support to enhance zero level of road crash.


“We will enlighten people to know what road safety is all about and the risks associated with road crash” Jatau said.
