Keren Happuch, Premeire Academy and Lemmy Ughegbe

As a parent and a liberal follower of the sequence of events since the death of the fourteen years old Keren Happuch, I have pondered over so many conflicting issues while trying to unravel the mystery surrounding the death of the young girl.

The Late Keren Happuch was a student of Premiere Academy Lugbe, the school is one of the most prestigious private secondary school in the nations Capital city. The school is also not new to the family of the late girl as her elder sister and brother have passed through the institution.

However, when the young girl joined the school, she was said to have been diagnosed with the type 1 diabetes which required her to take two jabs of insulin every blessed day at the school clinic.

According to a statement from the school, on the 19th of June, Kerens mother requested that she be taken to one Nisa premier eye clinic for a follow-up appointment after she was said to had earlier complained of redness of the eye which they said she had always managed.

A female school nurse, the female teacher on duty, and the school driver were said to have taken her to the clinic where her mother was waiting to receive them. On their arrival at clinic, the mother was said to have taken Keren to the doctors office for the appointment.

While at the hospital, Keren wanted to go home with her mother, but the school nurse declined stressing that she needed to get necessary permission from the school authority, after they got back to the school she was said to have been officially released to the mother and uncle on the same day.

Two days later, according to the school authority, the mother called and informed the school matron that keren was very sick and delirious in the early hour of the morning and has been rushed to queens clinic Wuse.

The matron was said to have visited Keren at the hospital and found her to be heavily sedated and in a state of coma.

The school matron was also said to have requested to see the doctor treating Keren, but the doctor was said to have closed for the day after which the matron advised that Keren be moved to a better facility which the mother was alleged to have declined. Sadly, Keren died the following day at the same hospital.

However, the school added that no one, even the police, other than the doctor at the queens clinic had sighted the supposed condom which was said to have been retrieved from her body.

After going through all the explanations, different thoughts started running through my mind.

Where was Mr. Lemmy Ughegbe when Keren was been taken to these different clinics for treatment? When did Mr. Ughegbe come into the picture? Was Mr. Ughegbe at the hospital bedside when the girl gave up the ghost? Was Mr. Lemmy Ughegbe aware of the late Keren health issues and how she had been taking two jabs of insulin daily since she was nine years old? Have they tendered the condom containing Spermatozoa to the police for examination? Can Mr. Ughegbe swear by the name our Lord Jesus Christ that the girl was indeed raped in the school?

On June 15th and 16th, you said Keren couldnt walk to class and had to be assisted by classmates.

Yes, the school also confirmed this. But are you now insinuating that from 15th June, your alleged condom has been deposited inside her and she couldnt sum up courage to tell her mother on the 19th of June when she was taken to the eye clinic?

Even on June 21st after spending two days with her mother at home, that meant she still couldnt tell the mother that there was something inside her? Also when the mother called in the early hour of same June 21st and informed the school that Keren was sick and delirious and has been rushed to queens clinic and the matron promptly visited the hospital and suggested that she be transferred to a better facility, there was still no mention of condom.

I think we should take time to read in between-lines so as not to be bamboozled or beguiled by Lemmys cry wolf.

However, my candid advised to Mr. Ughegbe is to tender all the evidences at his disposal to relevant agency so that the culprit can be brought to book.

He should also stop abusing people, when you are fighting for a cause, it does not make sense to abuse those who are in authority to assist you in achieving your aim. You have abused the police, and the DSS, accusing them of compromise.

You have also abused your professional colleagues who published stories that disagreed with your opinion. You have abused the Honourable Minister of Federal Capital Territory and the Minister of Women affairs calling them conspirators for keeping silent.

What do you expect these Honourable Ministers to say when you have not provided tangible and verifiable evidences but mere allegations. You have been shouting since the past six months over allegations upon allegations.

Please for Gods sake, submit your evidences to the police or published them so that the soul of Keren Happuch Akpaaher can rest in peace.
