The Executive members of Zamfara State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture have passed vote of no confidence on their Director General, Alhaji Lawal Muhammad Tsafe.

Consequently, the executive committee members have relieved him of his appointment as Director general of the Chamber of Commerce.

The decision to sack the DG is sequel to the outcome of an emergency executive Council meeting held in Gusau.

A statement on Sunday by the Public Relations Officer, ZACCIMA, Jamilu Ibrahim Gusau and made available to SINL Nigeria Online said the meeting was chaired by the president Zamfara State chamber of Commerce, industries, mines and Agriculture, Alhaji Bashar Ibrahim.

The statement said members of the committee deliberated on reports that investigated allegations of gross misconduct and fraud leveled against the embattled Director General and was eventually found wanting.

“The Executive Members hence unanimously approved the immediate dismissal of the  DG, Alhaji Lawal Muhammad Tsafe”.

The President ZACCIMA added that the decision was taken in the best interest of the Chamber and Zamfara State as a whole.

He warned that henceforth any individual or group that transact business with the dismissed DG in the name of ZACCIMA does so at their own peril.

Meanwhile, the ZACCIMA Executive Members have also Unanimously approved the appointment of Mansur Shehu Anka as the new Director General of the Chamber with immediate effect.

Until his new appointment, Mansur Anka was the Deputy Director General of the  Organization.

It would be recalled that the dismissed DG was earlier suspended last year.
