The National headquarters of All Progressive Congress (APC) has organized a one-day induction workshop for 322 party executives across 147 ward of Zamfara state on leadership.
According to the program co-ordinator, Dr Nura Audi, the purpose of the workshop was to educate the leaders of the party in the state about the constitution of the party.
He said most of the leaders do not know the guidelines of the party, pointing out that the program was arranged from the national secretariat of the party.
According to him, APC introduced the workshop in order to properly entrench democratic culture on the members.
“We initiated the program so that the leaders would be able to co-ordinate the party in their various states” he added.
He stated that, same exercises was conducted for Party officials in Kaduna and Kano states also, stressing that Zamfara state was not the first.
Declaring the workshop open, the state chairman of the party, Hon. Tukur Danfulani said that it was the first time of holding such workshop in the state since the formation of the party.
The chairman commended the national leadership of the party for bring up such idea which he said would move the state politically.
