FG completes 46 roads at federal tertiary institutions -Minister

The Minister of works and Housing Babatunde Raji Fashola on Monday disclosed that the federal government  has completed the construction of forty six (46) intervention roads across tertiary institutions in the country. 


Fashola revealed that the administration of President Muhmmad Buhari has stepped up the life of citizens in sectors of national life.

“It is true that a lot of needs to be done in many sectors of our national  life, including education, the Buhari government has stepped up the process of getting work done”.


The Minister of works and Housing who was represented by federal controller of works in charge of Zamfara state, Engineer Hassan Mohammed made this known during the official handing over of 1.5 kilometre road constructed by federal ministry of works at federal college of Education Technical, Gusau in zamfara state.

According to him, the gap of infrastructure needs is steadily being bridge by the administration of President Muhmmad Buhari.

“The gap of our infrastructure needs is steadily being bridge by a gradual process of repairs, renewal and construction of major highways and it has reached the schools”.


He disclosed that currently the Federal ministry of works and Housing is undertaking intervention in internal roads within some federal Institutions in Nigeria.

“We have successfully intervened in internal road of 46 tertiary federal institutions and handed over 29 as at 2021 and we now have another 17 ready to be handed over, while we are currently attending to 30 roads in similar institutions across the country, making a total of 76”.

In his remarks, the provost federal college of Education technical Gusau, Dr Umar Bello said the project means alot to the school and the entire community.


He appreciated the kind assistance by the federal government, saying he was short of words to thank the Minister of works for the roads network constructed at the college “.
