NEMA inaugurates Local Emergency Management Agency Committee (LEMC) in Jigawa

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has inaugurated the Jigawa state chapter of the Local Emergency Management Agency Committee (LEMA) on Wednesday in Dutse.

The Committee was inaugurated by the Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

He was represented by DG Kano regional office, Dr Nurudden Abdullahi and the Deputy Governor of Jigawa state.  

The DG also called on Jigawa state government to support the LEMC with everything it requires for the take off,  saying having such Committee at the local level can prevent bad things from happening.

He further explained that the Committee can assist people from the grassroot to prevent unforeseen circumstances that used to happen in areas that are difficult to access.

Also speaking, the Deputy Governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Umar Namadi said  Governor Badaru will give support to the committtee to enable it serve the people in the state.
