Jigawa state government has paid over N1.2bn pension benefits for the month of June 2022 to 550 retirees.
Addressing reporters on Monday at the Pension board, the Executive Secretary, Alhaji Kamilu Musa said the benefits is meant to solve the problems of all the retirees.
He explained that the beneficiaries of the state death benefit were 33 people and their retirement benefit is N90,044,141.21 million.
He said in the LGC, the beneficiaries of the death benefits were 38 and N87,957,815.00 million was paid to them respectively.
Similarly in the Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), the beneficiaries were 29 while their benefit was N89,327,475.00 among others.
He added that any retiree in the state, who did not receive his or her retirement benefit in time, may be due to non receipt of his file.
