The Senator representing Jigawa South-west Senatorial Zone, Senator Mohammed Sabo Nakudu has won the fresh Primary election conducted on Wednesday, at the Aminu Kano Triangle Dutse.
According to the leader of the delegation from the All Progressive Congress (APC) headquarters Abuja, who monitored the election, Engineer Shehu Umar Dange declared Nakudu as the winner.
Engineer Dange who supervised the conduct of the election explained that 375 delegates were accredited, saying all the 375 delegates voted.
Meanwhile, Nakudu commended delegates, state APC chairman and the delegates from the national headquarters of the party as well as Governor Mohammed Badatu for the peaceful conduct of the election.
“I am grateful to the Almighty God, who gives power to whoever he wants and at the time he wants. I promise that I will never let my constituents and Jigawa state down”. Nakudu emphasized.
The fresh election was held on Wednesday, to replaced late Honourable Tinjani Ibrahim Gaya, the Senatorial candidate of the APC who died two weeks ago.
It would be recalled that late Gaya was the Senatorial candidate of the APC before he died in a Chinese hospital.
