Jigawa state government has paid N783.7 Million to 375 pensioners across all segments of the civil service for the month of September 2022.
The Executive Chairman, Jigawa state Pension Board, Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa told reporters that the state government always pay the pensioners every month promptly.
Alhaji Musa explained that 199 beneficiaries under the state were paid N478.6 million, while N171.6 million was paid to 109 pensioners who served under the local government council among others.
He said the beneficiaries included the 67 retirees under the local government education authority who got N133.5 million.
The Chairman stressed that the payment, were that of retirement, death benefit, death pension balance, refund of eight percent contribution, refund of under payment and 40 percent increase.
