A group, North West National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum has thrown their weight behind the aspiration of Senator Jibrin Barau and Honourable Tajudeen Abbas for the position of deputy senate president and speaker of House of Representatives of the 10th National Assembly.

The North west zonal coordinator of the forum, Abdulrazaq Ibrahim, who briefed the press on Tuesday expressed unwavering solidarity and support of the forum for the aspiration of Barau and Abass.

Indeed, the group urged other contestants to allow for party supremacy to establish discipline, order and legislative democracy to thrive in the 10th  National Assembly.

Justifying the position of the forum, Ibrahim observed that the North west Geo political zone contributed the highest number of votes to the APC in the presidential and the National Assembly polls.

“The zone therefore rightfully deserves the positions” Ibrahim said.

According to him “the trust and confidence placed in Barau and Abbas by the people qualify them to aspire to higher responsibilities in the 10th National Assembly”.
