Jigawa state government on Thursday disbursed N2.042 Billion among the 746 beneficiaries at the state Contributory Pension Scheme Board Dutse.
Briefing newsmen during the payment, the Executive Secretary of the board, Honourable Kamilu Musa said the terminal benefit is for the month of August.
He stated that 476.3 Million was disbursed to 144 beneficiaries from the state, while 162.82 Million was also used to pay 83 retirees from the local government councils.
He added that the sum of N1,146,102,741.36 billion was spent on 411 retirees from the local government areas.
“The number of death pension beneficiaries from the state, local government councils, and local government areas were 78 and N212,071,042.96 Million was paid to them”, he added.
Musa explained that the death pension balance beneficiaries from the state, local government councils were 29 in number and N26, 856,455.06 Million was paid to them.
