DIWA partners FUD on girl child education

Federal University Dutse (FUD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a non governmental organization, Development Initiatives for West Africa (DIWA) on girl child  scholarship award, research and Publications.

Signing the MOU, the Vice Chancellor of FUD, Professor Abdulkareem Sabo Mohammed said, the institution is always welcoming organisation and individual who want to partner on education, social and economic development.

The event held at the Senate building of the Federal University Dutse (FUD), saw both parties sign the memorandum.

“We have signed MoU with many institutions of learning, companies, donor partners, civil societies and organisations.
 “Such MoU assist our students, the community, the country and humanity in general to tackle social, economic and environmental challenges” VC said.

Similarly, the Chief Executive Officer of the Development Initiatives for West Africa (DIWA), Mr Doud Kaneeh said their organisation  wants to partner with FUD on various fields of human endeavour.

“The areas are Innovations, exchange of Knowledge and expertise, Research and publications, water and Sanitation, Health and Scholarship particularly for girls child of less privileged background.

“DIWA is non governmental, regional organization working in various west African countries in the area of human and capital development”, he stated.
