The former Group Managing Director(GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Maikanti Baru, is dead.
Baru’s death was announced by the current GMD of the corporation, Mele Kyari, on Saturday morning.
Kyari tweeted he died on Friday night.

Dr. Baru, 60, was at the helm of the corporation from July 4th 2016 to July 7th 2019 died after a brief illness in an Abuja hospital.
