Jigawa State Government has called for a stakeholders meeting ahead of the Vice President, Kashim Shatima’s official visit to the state on Tuesday.
The State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi while declaring the stakeholders’ meeting open at the Banquet Hall, Government House Dutse said without peace across the length and breadth of the state, no meaningful development can be achieved.
Namadi said presently all the three tiers of government, including are doing their best to cushion the present economic hardship.
He therefore called on traditional rulers, religious and youth leaders to address their followers to shun the impending national protest planned to take place nationwide.
The Governor warned that no nation in the world that ever benefited from such organized national protest, saying such protest had destroyed many countries in the world, most especially the developing world.
He explained that peaceful approach to all issues is the best way of solving any situation among the civilized citizens of Jigawa state.
He also drew the attention of youths to be mindful of detractors who always lure young people into causing problem through falsehood.
Meanwhile, Vice President, Kashim Shattima is expected in the state for a one day official visit.
