NEXIM Bank trains exporters in Jigawa

The Executive Director of the Nigerian Export, Import Bank (NEXIM), Mr Abba Bello has said Jigawa state is endowed with lot of mineral resources and has all it take to produce exporters.

The Executive Director stated this at the Exporter enlightenment programme, held in Gumel, Jigawa State on Thursday.

Represented by the Executive Director Corporate Services, Mr Ibrahim Kallil Gaga said the time has come for the  potentials in the state to be harnessed for export.

He said the programme was primarily designed to promote and provide people with the knowledge, tools, and resources to navigate the complexities of the global market as well as to maximize their export potentials.

“At NEXIM, we are committed to supporting and empowering our exporters, who play a pivotal role in driving the nation’s economic diversification and development.

“We are honoured to have with us today a distinguished array of speakers and industry experts from the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQAS),” he explained.

Bello disclosed that other experts in the export commodities that trained the participants include the National Agency for Food and Drug administration Control (NAFDAC).

He said they had also invited one of the foremost Export Commodity Aggregators Maiyamco limited to share their insights and experiences which would enrich their understanding in export process.

He also commended Jigawa state government for promoting economic development as well as creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

“Praise worthy is the administration’s efforts in reviving the Maigatari Export Processing Zone which will further deepen the state’s export processing capacity” he added.
