(SINL NIGERIA) The Nigeria Climate Change Forum (NCCF) 2025 has ended in Abuja, marking a significant milestone in Nigeria’s climate action journey.
Over two transformative days, the forum brought together key stakeholders, government officials, industry leaders, and climate advocates to drive actionable solutions toward Nigeria’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) commitments.
The event underscored Nigeria’s unwavering commitment to climate action and its leadership role in shaping Africa’s environmental future.
Distinguished leaders from federal and state governments, including Honorable Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, graced the forum with their presence.

Minister Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim emphasized the federal government’s commitment to a gender-responsive approach to climate change, empowering women, children, and vulnerable groups as active agents of change.
The minister highlighted areas where the ministry has committed to gender-inclusive climate change, including integrating gender lens into Nigeria’s climate change response and energy transition.
The forum also attracted representatives from various ministries, government agencies, and private sector organizations, showcasing a strong coalition of stakeholders committed to climate resilience.
The robust participation of private sector leaders demonstrated the essential role of corporate investment in sustainable development, with companies like Africa Finance Corporation, Oando Clean Energy, and Access Bank providing invaluable support.
The NCCF 2025 reinforced Nigeria’s resolve to lead by example in climate resilience, innovation, and policy implementation, setting a precedent for other African nations to follow.
