Zamfara Assembly Urges Head of Service to Implement Reforms

(SINL NIGERIA) A delegation from the Zamfara State House of Assembly has urged the newly appointed Head of Service, HoS, Alhaji Yakubu Sani Haidara to implement reforms that would improve the working conditions of civil servants in the  State.

The delegation was led by Hon. Mahmud Aliyu stated this when the group paid a courtesy visit to the office of the State Head of Service in Gusau, the State capital.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary of the House, Comrade Bello Madaro Kurya and made available to newsmen, Aliyu also presented to the HoS, the House Service Commission law for possible implementation. 

He congratulated Haidara on behalf of the Assembly staff for his newly appointment and prayed for his success in office.

In his speech, Hon. Nura Dahiru Sabon Birni, the House Minority Whip, assured Haidara of the House commitment to working with his office, to enhance public service delivery in the State.

Responding, Haidara commended the delegation for their support and pledged to improve civil servants’ welfare. 

He emphasized the government’s commitment to pension payments and the implementation of the new ₦30,000 minimum wage.

He pointed out that there are plans to address outstanding promotions of senior civil servants, saying that recent staff transfers were aimed at improving efficiency in the administrative sector.

The visit was attended by Deputy Clerk, Barrister Nasiru Abdullahi Jangebe and other senior staff of the House.
